7 kW PEMFC Successfully Passes Final KGS Completion Inspection

Hogreen Air Co., Ltd. (CEO Hong Seong-ho) is set to accelerate its entry into the urban distributed power generation market

after its flagship product successfully passed the final completion inspection by the Korea Gas Safety Corporation (KGS).

On the 30th, Hogreen Air announced that its in-house developed 7 kW-class Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell (PEMFC) system has officially passed the KGS completion inspection.

This certification serves as an official validation that Hogreen Air’s building-integrated fuel cell system meets stringent technical performance and safety standards.

With the completion inspection now secured, the company expects to significantly accelerate its expansion into the urban distributed energy market.

In line with the Korean government’s 2050 carbon neutrality target and the implementation of the Special Act on the Promotion of Distributed Energy

Hogreen Air has dedicated several years to developing building-scale fuel cell systems aimed at improving urban energy self-sufficiency and maximizing building energy efficiency.

Following the successful inspection, Hogreen Air plans to introduce a product that delivers top-tier efficiency within its class.
The system features a compact design, minimizing installation space requirements—an important advantage in dense urban environments.
In addition, the product is engineered with low-noise and low-vibration characteristics, making it well-suited for city applications.
It also incorporates IoT-based remote monitoring and control functions, enhancing both operational convenience and system safety.
While fully complying with KGS’s rigorous technical requirements, Hogreen Air has further applied internal safety standards that exceed legal regulations.

The system is equipped with multiple safety sensors, an automatic gas shut-off system, and reinforced durability of key components, ensuring stable and reliable operation.
With the completion inspection now secured, Hogreen Air plans to establish a full-scale mass production system and actively target new public facilities, private commercial buildings, and residential complexes.
Through this expansion, the company aims to contribute to reducing urban energy costs and lowering greenhouse gas emissions in areas with high electricity demand.

Hong Seong-ho, CEO of Hogreen Air, stated:

“Passing the KGS completion inspection is an official recognition of Hogreen Air’s technological excellence and safety standards.
Beyond simply supplying products, we aim to establish ourselves as a trusted partner by providing stable operation and reliable maintenance services.”

He added:

“Through continuous R&D, we will expand our product lineup and advance into overseas markets, growing into a representative eco-friendly energy company from Korea.”
