Hogreen Air, a specialist in hydrogen-powered drones, announced on the 15th that it has signed an agreement with Intelligent Energy, a UK-based company specializing in hydrogen fuel cell production and development. The agreement focuses on the domestic production of high-power hydrogen fuel cells (PEMFC).

The contract was formalized at the Automotive Engineering Exposition 2022, held in Yokohama, Japan, on the 27th of last month. Hogreen Air has secured land in Gwangju's Nambu District Industrial Complex and is set to commence construction in August, with full-scale production scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2023.

Hogreen Air not only provides hardware for hydrogen drones but also integrated solutions, including software. The company is expanding its business beyond drones to various industrial sectors such as building-scale power generation systems, large-scale power generation systems exceeding 20 kW, and mobility. Additionally, in preparation for the mainstreaming of the hydrogen industry, the company is gearing up for entry into the liquefied hydrogen sector.

CEO Hong Seong-ho expressed his satisfaction with the contract, stating, "Through this agreement, our relationship with Intelligent Energy has become even stronger. We are pleased to have the opportunity to showcase Intelligent Energy's fuel cells with outstanding performance in the rapidly growing domestic hydrogen market."

[Note: PEMFC stands for Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell, and the abbreviation was used in the original articles to denote high-power hydrogen fuel cells.]
